From Jane Fonda in Five Acts

Production realized that they didn’t get the shot that Jane references only after they had already left her house. We did have a shot of a different picture in a frame, however, so they left it to me to swap in the correct picture she points to. Initially this was intended to be a quick comp so that we can keep post production moving, but our team was so pleased with the results that it made it all the way to the final cut.

Temp to final from Americonned

We were often moving quickly during the post-production process of Americonned, and as a result we needed to mock up animated sequences quickly and well enough to convey to our animator what we wanted. Here you can see several examples of temp animated sequences by me paired with the final results (both by the exceptional Rosane Chamecki).

Ongoing Study

Decent motion graphics skills are becoming a standard part of the editor’s tool bag. I make simple gifs using a combination of Photoshop, After Effects, and Illustrator in order to keep my skills sharp.
